apples to apples

Apples are a great fruit. They’re crunchy, and healthy and taste really good, which is surprising for a hard fruit. Most other fruits that taste really good are softer, like strawberries, or blueberries, bananas even. All the fruits you can throw into your Honey Nut Cheerios and milk really. Honey Nut Cheerios are way better than normal Cheerios too. And how about the fact that a tomato is a fruit. Its crazy cause it was always grouped in the vegetable category when I was growing up.

Watermelon is really good too. Its really hard on the outside, but really soft on the inside… a hybrid fruit. The summer fruit for sure. I don’t want to be friends with anyone who turns down watermelon on a hot day. No one should do that.
This guy is a friend of mine:

But were talking apples here. They are the fruit of knowledge; the forbidden fruit that Adam and Eve ate in the Garden of Eden.

There’s actually a lot of historical references to apples. That’s pretty impressive for a fruit too. It’s said that Isaac Newton saw an apple fall from a tree and began to ponder with the concept of gravity. How about the fact that it gets a whole city to itself… The Big Apple. Other fruits just would’t work in that situation. The Big Grape? The Big Kiwi?

Plus apples can be enjoyed with a multitude of compliments, such as peanut butter or honey. I just had a caramel apple the other day at a carnival. It was delicious.

There’s always so much to do at carnivals too. This one had a petting zoo and a haunted house called The Barn of Blood. Pretty catchy. Do all haunted houses have alliteration in their name? The Den of Death. The Room of Revenge. The Abode of Abaddon. I could go all day.

so much to do, so little time

I guess what I’m trying to say is apples always appear so appealing to me.

Ill go that way.

This is by far my favorite of all of your posts. I love how the text interacts with the images. I feel as though the text is just free flowing out of your mind onto paper. Although part of the text seem to be tangential, and almost what I would call word vomit, it still seems controlled. And it is definitely engaging. In addition the words correspond so well to the images without saying, “Hey! Look at me! I’m the image that shows what he’s talking about!” Instead the images seem to quietly nod to your text. I think it’s also extremely important to notice that neither the text nor the image drives the post. I think without text the post would lack a huge aspect; same goes for the images. I also feel that this post has a lot of you in it. I able to see your personality in this post. It is very witty and creative. I made me think about what you were saying, but I was still able to laugh. Lastly, even though it seems like some of the photographs could’ve been taken by any bystander the way they in which they are ordered an incorporated into the text seems very professional and makes the images really quite exciting.
